Digett + Olivia Alice

Your website project,
in one place

Everything you've asked for since October 9, pulled from about 30 emails and grouped by topic. We'll use this page to agree on priorities and on what "ready to launch" means, so the next round of work has a clear finish line. Status as of October 23, 2026.
30emails from you, Oct 9–22

3ways to fulfill an order

01What you said the site is for

In your own words. Most of the work so far has gone into the shop. These goals are about bringing in new clients, so we should weigh every request against them.

My primary goal is achieving a searchable online presence to attract new clients, in a more traditional fashion vs social media.Your first email, Oct 8
My other goal with the site was really to attract more clients. And not just "shoppers" but people I can help in my business.Oct 19
Ultimately I hope my site serves as a landing page for clients to find me and what I have to offer.Oct 21
Goal 1
Attract new clients

Get found in search, explain your services, build trust with reviews and photography, and make booking easy.

Goal 2
Sell retail products online

Sell the products you use and recommend, offering local pickup, shipping, or drop shipping depending on the item.

02Store foundations

The store can't take real orders until these are settled. Most of them are business decisions rather than design work, and they affect how every product gets set up. That's why they come first.

How each product gets to the customer
Needs your decision
You've described three ways to fulfill an order: local pickup (only items and sizes you physically stock), shipping from your own inventory, and drop shipping from the brand. The rules are different for each brand, and for Face Reality they're different for each size.
Fulfillment rules by brand, as described in your emails
BrandLocal pickupDrop shipNotes
Face RealityOnly the specific sizes you stock, while in stockYes, for all other retail sizesPickup is set per size. Example: Ultra Gentle Cleanser 6 oz = pickup or ship; 2 oz travel = drop ship only; back bar = not listed
Hale & HushYes, for everything except Brilliant Lip & Eye, Refine Polish, Fresh BreezeYes, when you're out of stock
GlyMed PlusYesNot availableYou'd ship these yourself
ColorescienceYes, only shades you carryNot availableOther shades go through your affiliate link
Korean skincareNot specified yet

The inventory rules you asked for (Face Reality)

  • Track inventory separately for each retail size
  • Offer pickup only for the exact sizes you stock and have on hand
  • When a stocked size sells out, it stops offering pickup but can still be drop shipped
  • Cart and order confirmation show the correct price, size, and fulfillment method

From: "More Product Updates" (Oct 17), "Next Product section" (Oct 17), "Smaller launch" (Oct 20)

Shipping rates
Needs your decision
What customers pay for shipping (flat rate, free over a certain amount, or calculated), and what you'll do with mixed orders that combine drop-shipped and self-shipped items. You've been gathering advice from other store owners.
What other Shopify store owners told you (Oct 20)
  • Colorado esthetician (also carries Face Reality): flat shipping rate. Drops ship almost all Face Reality orders. Offers in-store pickup, which most customers choose. Uses separate Shopify "locations" and shipping profiles: the spa holds in-store items, and a "drop ship only" profile turns off pickup. Uses Amazon mailers or USPS flat-rate boxes. Splits larger mixed orders, since Shopify allows two tracking numbers. Relies on the $100 of insurance USPS includes.
  • Second owner: sales tax depends on state "nexus," so ask your accountant.
  • High-volume owner: $6.99 flat drop-ship rate based on an average. Ships everything themselves, and places drop-ship orders manually when they're short on stock.

From: "Conversation with Shopify Retailer" (Oct 20), "chat gpt" (Oct 18)

Sales tax
Mostly settled
Shopify calculates sales tax automatically. Your local rate is 8.25%. Confirm with your accountant which states and localities you need to collect for.
Test orders and launch checks
Not started
The store hasn't processed a test order yet. Before launch, we recommend placing test orders for each fulfillment method (pickup, shipping, drop ship) and checking payments, order notifications, tax, and what the customer sees after checkout.
Inventory counts
Needs info from you
You plan to send the quantity on hand for each product and size you carry. Pickup can't work correctly without these numbers.
Restricted products (clients only)
Needs info from youSuggest after launch
Some Face Reality products may only be sold to approved clients. You'd like everyone to be able to read about these products, but require a client passcode to buy them. This needs a Shopify app and some setup. You mentioned it isn't the focus right now.
Examples and references you sent
  • sarahpierceaesthetics.com: clicking a restricted product goes straight to a passcode page. You'd rather customers could read about the product first.
  • Face Reality's own site: anyone can view the product, but buying it sends you to "partner with an acne expert." You prefer this.
  • Face Reality's "Gating Products" best-practices guide (PDF link, Oct 20). It's an older version, and you think the current restricted list is shorter.
  • You're getting the current restricted-product list from Face Reality.

Digett suggests: at launch, either leave restricted items off the site or show them with a "Contact Kelly to purchase" note. Add the passcode feature once the store is running.

From: "Smaller launch" (Oct 20), "Information regarding restricted products" (Oct 20)

03Product page design

These change how product pages look and work in your Shopify theme, as opposed to entering product information. They're the most technical part of the project, so we suggest getting one product page fully working and approved before loading the whole catalog.

Collapsible sections for product details
In progress
Show product information in tidy, expandable sections (Description, Benefits, Key Ingredients, Full Ingredients) so shoppers can read as much as they want without the page feeling overwhelming. Your model is ccskin.studio, using your fonts and brand. Claudia got part of the way; Mark is taking this on.

From: "initial updates" (Oct 17), "chat gpt" (Oct 18), "Thank you/colorescience" (Oct 19)

One listing per product, with a size menu
In progress
Combine duplicate size listings into one product with a size dropdown. Show "Starting at $XX" using the lowest price, and update the price when the customer picks a size. This applies to Face Reality, Hale & Hush, and any other brand with multiple sizes.
Shade selection with images
Content received
Let customers choose a shade on the product page (Colorescience), with an image for each shade. You suggested ccskin.studio as a model and have organized shade images into folders.
Bundle discount: Lip Enhancer + Hydrating Lip Balm
Needs your decision
15% off when both GlyMed lip products are bought together. Shopify's built-in automatic discounts can probably handle this. We can set it up once pricing is final.
Suggested product groupings
Suggest after launch
You mentioned putting together suggested product groupings "at a later time."

04Products by brand

Claudia is now staging product data in a spreadsheet so it can be imported into Shopify in bulk instead of edited one product at a time. Open a brand to see every detail you've sent for it.

Hale & HushIn progress▶

You believe Claudia has entered most of this. What's left is the tabs and page layout.

Requested changes
  • Remove Quiet Wash 16.9 oz (not a retail size)
  • Remove Remedy Rehab Oil 4 oz and add the 1 oz instead, at $48, using the correct 1 oz image
  • Combine Quiet Wash into one listing: 3.3 oz $26, 6.2 oz $40. Do the same for any other duplicates
  • Refine Polish: new product image, price $34
  • Add Hydro Melon Cream, $56 (image and info from halehush.com)
  • Add Trifecta Retail Kit, $80
  • Add an ingredients tab to every Hale & Hush product
  • Skip the masks and other retail kits on the price sheet
  • Offer pickup for items you carry, and drop ship when you're out

From: "initial updates" (Oct 17), "Hale & Hush price sheet" (Oct 17, HH_RetailPricing_0926.pdf), "More Product Updates" (Oct 17)

Face RealityScope decision▶

Your first request was every Face Reality retail product, with drop shipping for anything you don't stock. On Oct 20 you suggested starting with the products you physically carry. We need to settle which one applies to launch.

Full-line request (Oct 17)
  • Compare facerealityskincare.com with your site and add any missing retail products (e.g. Barrier Gel Cream, Active Clarity Gel Pack)
  • Make names, sizes, descriptions, and prices accurate and current
  • Leave out all "Back Bar" products and sizes
  • No bundles for now, individual products only
  • Check whether the previous developer's drop-shipping note is still on the site, and make sure products you don't stock aren't marked unavailable

RoccocoNeeds info from you▶

On Oct 20 you listed Roccoco as a brand to complete, but we haven't received any product details for it yet.

RelytOn hold▶

Relyt paused fulfillment on Oct 19. Since then: they're discontinuing the roll-on aromas, and tea partnerships reopen in November with new packaging and pricing. You'd like to sell your remaining retail stock, and you're still deciding whether to keep retailing the tea. Two of your favorite photos include Relyt products.

05Site content

This is the part of the site that brings in new clients (Goal 1). Much of it is quick to do once the text and images are in hand.

Update your bio (About Me)
Content received
Use the new text from your Word document (Final Updated About Me.docx) in the site's fonts, not the document's.
Update the Our Team statement
Content received
Use the new text from Our Team Statement update.docx in the site's fonts.
Add the Massage Treatment Consent Form
Content received
Add it to the Registration Forms section so clients can fill it out and sign it, titled "Massage Treatment Consent Form" (without "Revised"). You used to pay for Jotform, but it may no longer be active, and we need to check how the current forms work.
Client reviews
Content received
Display reviews you've received (not a form for leaving new ones): a scrolling testimonials section on a main page with a "view more" link, plus reviews on the massage and body wrap service pages.

Body wrap section: copy and reviews

For many years, even before opening Olivia Alice, Kelly helped countless clients, including military members preparing for their required tape tests.

Kelly believes in honesty and transparency. While body wraps are not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle or a permanent weight-loss solution, they can be a valuable tool for those looking for an extra boost of confidence before a military tape test or event. We highly recommend a series of wraps when time allows.

Professional service and knowledge helped me meet new service requirements with a body wrap.JK
Excellent ServiceMonica

Please note: Body wrap appointments are limited as Kelly continues to dedicate much of her schedule to skincare, therapeutic bodywork, and wellness services. Body wraps remain a valued part of her offerings, and we encourage booking in advance to secure your appointment.

06Working together

What we've each asked for about how the project runs.

  • A log of hours and completed work. You asked for this so you can keep track of where things stand. Time reports went out Oct 18 and Oct 19.
  • An estimate of what's left. You asked how much of the first tasks remains and what the timeline looks like. Answering that honestly requires a fixed list of what launch includes (see below).
  • Requests arriving in pieces. Sending things as you find them has been useful, but it makes the scope hard to track. This page is meant to give us one shared list instead.
  • An in-person working session for visual and layout preferences, which are hard to explain over the phone.
  • Product entry is paused (since Oct 20) until we agree on launch priorities.

07A proposed path to launch

A draft for discussion. The idea is to settle the decisions that affect everything else first, prove the setup on a few products, and then build out from there.

1

Decide what launch includes

Agree on launch-day brands and products, how each is fulfilled, shipping rates, and which features wait until after launch. The result is one written list we both sign off on.

2

Build one working example of each kind of product page

Get one product of each kind fully working: a simple product, a product with sizes, and a product with shades. Each gets collapsible sections and the right pickup or shipping options, and you approve it before anything is copied.

3

Load the catalog in bulk

Import the agreed products from the spreadsheet, brand by brand, starting with your best sellers.

4

Client-facing content

Bio, team statement, reviews, photography, services, and the consent form. This is the part that brings in new clients.

5

Test, then launch

Test orders for every fulfillment method, then go live.

+

After launch

Client-only purchasing for restricted products, bundles and groupings, blog posts, and any remaining brands.

08Questions for you

Answers to these will turn Phase 1 into a firm list.

  1. Which matters more for launch day: being findable by new clients, or offering the full product catalog? If we had to launch one first, which would it be?
  2. Which brands and products must be in the store on launch day, and which can follow?
  3. For Face Reality at launch: the full retail line with drop shipping, or only the products you carry?
  4. What will customers pay for shipping? (For example, a flat rate, free over a set amount, or calculated at checkout.)
  5. When an order mixes drop-ship and in-stock items, do you want to split the shipment or send it all yourself?
  6. Can restricted products wait until after launch? If so, should they be hidden for now or shown with a "contact to purchase" note?
  7. When can you send inventory counts by size, and the Roccoco details?
  8. Is there a date you're aiming to launch by, and a budget you'd like us to plan around?
